Feng Shui Teacher, Mentor, Consultant and Speaker

I am a Feng Shui Teacher, Mentor, Consultant and Speaker, bringing a professional and intuitive perspective to enhance your awareness and appreciation of Self and Space. Being in gratitude, creating conscious intentions, taking action and believing in your own power will propel you into a more meaningful and purposeful life. I promise.

. . . .

My feng shui journey always starts with me. In order for me to share, give advice and teach I have to focus on getting real clear on who I am. How I show up in the world. Where my strengths and weaknesses are. How I can shift my beliefs, feelings and trajectory in a manner that not only suits me, but also serves the highest well being of all. That’s the true essence of feng shui — cause and effect.

My sensitivities and curiosities began when I was a child. But, it was in 1995 when I was introduced to Edgar Cayce, and Shirley Maclaine’s book Out on a Limb that propelled the realm in which my questions could surpass. The Universe spoke and I started to listen. Since then, I have had the humble pleasure of being blessed with many inspiring and supportive teachers. Here are few from which I have spent most of my time observing and learning: I began my esoteric studies in metaphysics, in 1997, under the gracious guidance of Trina West, BCCP, RN, FNP, GC. This is where I began to learn to walk and talk my light. From 2002-05, I had the privilege of studying under Buddhist Master Thay Ba Huynh. He taught an exclusive meditation group, challenging us to see and be the 5 Elements. He tested us and prepped us, through rigorous meditation sessions, to take on the most intense healing challenges. In 2005, I met Mary Shurtleff, CHT, CFSP. She took me under her wing and openly shared everything I wanted to learn about feng shui. Her passion and commitment to the practice of feng shui excited me in a way I hadn’t anticipated. I just couldn’t get enough!

While most understand feng shui to be about space planning, clutter clearing and color selection, there are many other fascinating aspects that can be explored even in the simplest of feng shui applications.

When I show up for a consultation we start outside. Landform, the original school of feng shui, is an analysis of the property, location, and relations to neighbors and other structures. For instance, the success of a storefront business can easily rise or fall depending on this one school of thought.

I also apply Classical, or Compass School, Feng Shui. This 4,000-year-old scientific approach reveals some undeniable energy. This is the school where astrology comes in, like Flying Stars and 4 Pillars of Destiny. I also use many of the BTB, or Black Sect Tibetan Tantric Buddhist, principles, such as color and elemental theory, form and function, transcendental cures, prayers and intentions.

Aside from teaching, the 4 Pillar astrology charts are the most exciting to me. Your chart will bring attention to your 4 Chinese zodiac animals and their specific traits in how they relate to the 4 domains of who you are — Body – physical health and energy; Mind – tribal programming and belief systems: Soul – your life path and connection to others; and Spirit – your emotional health and connection to all that is. This chart also shows your 5 element imbalances. This lets me personalize your whole feng shui experience! I can make recommendations that are specific to you, and each member of your family or business team. Everyone deserves that personal attention.

Like I said before, I LOVE TO TEACH. Sharing and passing along the education and experiences I’ve had is my way of paying it forward. I like to keep a workshop going here and there, and am always open to customizing a special class for any group. I also train and certify feng shui practitioners. This is a one-on-one setting, (in-person or live video chat), or my live group intensives! I also have a unique opportunity for you to go through the same training course, but as a mentorship, leaving out any stress to complete certification requirements.

I am here to support — sometimes with a firm stance, but always with love and empathy — and inspire a new way in which to see the world and your place in it.

Some of my greatest professional successes come when things aren’t looking so good. When someone is days away from foreclosure and we are able to shift things for that buyer to show up at just the right time. Or when communication has broken down between loved ones to a point of calling upon outside help. Revelations in the 4 Pillar charts provide a new understanding and appreciation. Or shifting a family’s tragedy so they can move on with a more compassionate view of the circumstances.

It is all so beautiful. So inspiring and joyful. Yes, many of us are going through some tough times — however, interpreting these circumstances through the lens of feng shui can quickly make you feel like you can do something about it.

I’m all about keeping it real, keeping it practical… and keeping it light! Where do you want to go from here?!

I was born in the sacred Black Hills of South Dakota; moving to Denver and then Phoenix to finish my school years; ending up in Wisconsin where I met Doug; then Minneapolis/St Paul to earn my BFA in Visual Communications at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. We found our way to Salt Lake City in 1995 to be closer to the people who were meant to be in our lives. If you look at my 4 Pillar Animals below, you can see where my nomadic spirit comes from.

Doug and I have been married for 29 years. On our honeymoon, we buried a time capsule in Custer State Park, South Dakota, for our children (that we would have some day). It was a blast to take them there 15 years later and actually find it and the letter we had written to them. They filled it up with new trinkets and we reburied it for their children. Shhhh… it’s our secret.
